Adopt us!

Perhaps one of the saddest realities of chained dogs is that if they are surrendered to a pound or end up a stray, many of these dogs are euthanised due to an overpopulation issues. To further that many of these breeds are undesirable mutts, and often spend months in shelters getting looked over because of their physical apprearance

We know that people are not as superficial in Ontario and below are some former heart broken dogs looking for a new life.

These dogs are likely looking for their second or third chance at life. Some are bought as puppies and chained as young as possible. While the most common story is dogs that were bought and adored as puppies but once full grown were chained or given away unknowingly to be chained in a backyard.

The dogs listed below are in the care of specific shelters or private rescue groups. They are in need of a home. Those listed as urgent are exactly that; due to circumstances beyond their control their days have been number and only you can help by adopting or spreading the word of their life before it is too late.

PLEASE NOTE:  This is a means of crossposting.  U.O.D. does not assess, adopt out or take any responsibilty for the dogs listed.

If you are a rescue or have a chained dog that needs to be put up for adoption please contact us at info@unchainontariosdogs.org

Buddy

Buddy is an adult, Golden Retriever/Rotti mix. He loves people and does well with dogs. Buddy has lived his life on a chain, but has not let it break his heart. He is in need of medical attention and will see a vet but donations are desperately needed by his rescue, LOYAL Pet Rescue or you can donate via paypal here. Every penny counts, as he has a serious ear infection that has gone untreated for sometime.  To see how Buddy used to live please visit our blog www.unchaino.livejournal.com

The rescue is willing to do his vetting but needs your assistance in costs and spreading the word that he needs a home.  LOYAL will be neutering him, giving him all the shots he needs and any additional medical care.

Remington

rem

Remington was found a stray and had some ear issues.  The shelter treated his ear issues but he's been sitting at a pound for a very long time.  He needs to find a home with a big soft spot for Terriers.  Everyone who has met him falls in love with his nice personality and good looks. Can you help me? Please email: info@unchainontariosdogs.org

Lacey - 5 to 6 month old puppy

lacey

My name is Lacey, I am about 5 1/2 months old and I was found a stray.  I am a lab shepherd mix puppy, and I am very sweet!  I have a skin condition that is not contagious but needs medication and will heal up in a couple of weeks.  I've been growing up in a shelter and I am a good girl.  I am very friendly and am wanting to learn everything!  Can you help me? Please email: info@unchainontariosdogs.org
